Java Queen

Java Queen
It's always nice to finish up a piece that's been
sitting on my unfinished shelf!  This piece I started
a couple of years ago and only got so far then
I set it aside because I didn't know what else
to do.  I love when I get inspired again
and everything finally comes together.
This was done on an 8x10 piece of
watercolor paper with a paper background,
acrylic paint then water soluble oil pastels.

Iced Coffee, Yum!

I wanted to share my new favorite drink in the morning, iced coffee instead of hot coffee.  I found this recipe on how to make cold brewed coffee over on Pioneer Women's website and finally made some and it is so delicious! I keep a jug of it in the fridge and make some for my hubby before he leaves for work too.  Only thing different is I use fat free flavored creamer or sugar free coffee flavoring instead of the cream and sugar she uses.

Coffee Palette

Clouds in my Coffee
Here's a piece I did for a monthly lottery, since I'm the host this month I thought I'd try and entice some more participation by creating this coffee palette, the theme is coffee. I used a wooden palette that I adhered paper that I had misted with Color Mists to using soft gel medium. I free hand cut out shapes to form the cup using bits of scrap paper and highlighted it with paint and gel pens. The shading I added with a brown charcoal pencil and when I was completely done I sealed it with PYM II.
