Birthday Block Swap Sneak Peeks

I received this month's birthday swap block for the Birthday Round Robin I'm participating in.
Vicki's block started out with Vintage book pages (you can click HERE to view it from the start).  Tipi added the spool & ribbon for the stand and some cupcakes she'd drawn along with a celebration tag on the opposite side.   I received it next and added the wording on the front and back some rhinestones a bit of oil pastels for color & shading, also the flowers and birthday candle on top.

Every bit counts!

My amazing 17 year old niece Tiffany, who has cystic fibrosis, is on the list for a double lung transplant. You can help her and her family with transplant-related expenses by going on the link below and donating to her cause. Just imagine if everyone even donated just $5.00 (or more) how quickly she would reach her goal! Please help and pass this on to your friends and family ...

Taxi Queen ATB

Here's my newest Chubby Artist Trading Block
The theme is Queen and the image above is from Outside the Margin's 1950's collage sheet

The wheels actually roll...I found a toy car at the thrift store that was the right width and hubby kindly dismantled it for me and sawed grooves across the bottom of the block for the axles to fit in and then I used a heavy duty staple gun to keep the axles in place.

Rainbow Cake

I baked a rainbow cake yesterday for St Patrick's Day.
I used white cake mix with egg whites and added  ALOT of  gel food coloring to each layer.  I goofed up and didn't get the colors in the right order but no  matter.  In between each layer I used lemon curd and then frosted it with homemade whipped cream frosting.
My family seemed to love it!
Here it is once I cut into it
isn't it pretty!

Birthday Chubby Artist Trading Block

Here's a birthday challenge chubby Artist Trading Block I added to.  Each person in the birthday chubby challenge started a block of their own and then sent it on to the next person to add to their block.  When the block finally makes it back around to the original owner of the block it will be in time for their birthday and they'll have their own ATB to put out and celebrate their birthday with
:-)
For Tipi's block I it arrived with burgundy paint and I scuff sanded it and dry brushed some red paint.  I then add the letters of her last name which happens to be LOVE and also added red glitter mini clothes pins for feet and a birthday candle on top.

Now it's on to the next person to add to it.
