Blinged Out Dollar Store Ornaments

I picked up these ornaments at the Dollar Tree Store
the other day but they were a little too plain for
my taste.

See my simple addition of paper
rosettes and buttons below:
I started out with a strip of paper that was
approximately 3"x10" that I according  folded.

Once done I folded it in half and stapled it.

Next if you want a decorative edge
evenly cut each end with pinking shears
or some other type of decorative scissors.

Next add 2-way sticky tape on
both sides of the folded ends

Open your rosette and stick each end
together...first one side then the other
to form your circle.

Next I connected two buttons together
using bakers twine threaded and tied
 tightly.

Here I've glued the rosette to the ornament
and the button to the rosette then clamped
them together until dry.

Here are two my finished blinged out Dollar Tree ornaments.
For the reindeer I used some Vintage sheet music to create
the rosette and of course more buttons.
Here I've added my blinged out ornament
to a card I made.

Miracle's Happen!

Awhile back I posted about my niece Tiffany needing a double lung transplant because she has Cystic Fibroses .  She got the call once already back in the spring, but before they could do the transplant they found the lungs weren't viable.  The miracle she had been wishing, hoping and prayer for happened and she got the call again, yesterday.  After a 10 hour surgery she has the gift of new lungs!  She is doing amazingly well the Drs said.  Thanks to those of you who donated and/or sent good wishes and prayers!  But it's not over yet keep those good wishes and prayers coming for a speedy recovery for her!

What an amazing ultimate gift the donor family
gave they not only saved Tiff's life but 4 other people's
lives as well!

If you haven't already please register to be an organ donor.
Organ and tissue donation and transplantation provide a second chance at life for thousands of people each year. You have the opportunity to be one of the individuals who make these miracles happen.
By deciding to be a donor, you give the gift of hope...hope for the thousands of individuals awaiting organ transplants and hope for the millions of individuals whose lives could be enhanced through tissue transplants.

Christmas Chubbies

I just finished up some Christmas Chubby Blocks
today.  I started with blank ATB's from

I really loved how this one turned out. I used a tart tin
for the base and chalkboard paint and one
of my whimsical characters.

It's so hard to truly capture a good shot of this one but
trust me it really sparkles like Dorthy's ruby slippers.
This one also has a mini chalkboard on one side
so you can count down the days until Christmas.

All three would make great gifts for a friend.
