112lb Anniversary!

I just have to share it's been officially a year since I actively started loosing weight and I've lost a total of 112lbs.  Although, I still have knee problems and some other health issues I can actually walk around the block and I feel so much healthier!  I've learned that when I get off track its not the end and I know how to get back on track.  I follow Weight Watcher's program on my own, and I truly believe it's the most healthful diet that can be incorporated into your everyday life.  I highly recommend their restaurant guide especially.  What made the difference for me was not looking at this is a diet, but that I wanted to get healthy.  Not only loosing weight but also eating healthier learning to make better choices.  Yes, there are times when I splurge, but I know especially after going through the holidays that I can get right back on track.
Because I changed the way I eat I have gotten my family to actually like some of the changes such as eating whole grain pastas and brown rice they actually prefer it now.

I haven't eaten fast food since March of last year and that was Taco bell...I can't remember the last time I had a hamburger or Chinese food.  Not that I can't have it if I want to, but after reading the Eat this Not That books and actually seeing how much fat, calories and sodium that's in certain foods I just can't bring myself to do it. I do subsume to the occasional Mexican food (my favorite) meal.

Another nice benefit is that I don't mind
so much having my picture taken

  13. WOW!! Congrats!! I wish I could just get the will power to go for it. I have to lose close to 100lbs, but I struggle with my job since I am on the road all of the time. I use to do WW's and I loved it, but I need to look into it again. Thanx for the inspiration my friend.
