Celestial Dreams

Thanks to all of you who read
my musings and write me personally
or leave comments, I don't always get the chance to say it but

I've been playing with more Slide Mailers (hey, no groans! its been fun for me to see something old with new eyes thus new ideas!) and I used one of my alcohol ink backgrounds (from the slide show to the right) to use for the background of this piece.

Supplies Used

*I used a shallow cigar box lid that I painted with gesso to adhere the background and then the slide mailer. I used deli paper to cover the inside which is awesome it conforms to the shape inside really well! The image is raised up in the niche of the slide mailer with small pop dots.

  1. Just beautiful! I need to drag mine out and see what they want to become. Thanks for sharing.

  2. Turned out awesome Aileen. Love the fishes swiming in your background papers too. Another thing to my list of, I will have to do that.

  3. Aileen, you are always so good at posting helpful instructions or material listws to go with your beautiful art.

  4. That is amazing! I'm in the Yahoo ATC group (have been MIA for a while). I love this idea! Thanks for sharing!!

  5. Exquisite Aileen. The blue/gold combination truly exemplifies the celestial name.

  6. Aileen, you already know I love this, but I wanted to say you inspire me to do something with the slide mailers I have. I've never used one of them!
