I finished this piece I previously posted about

Valentine's Day.

What Next...

I previously showed my newest canvas I'm working on.

I started adhering scrap papers and vintage music from a book.

Next I added a paper napkin from OTM's napkin collage pack using semi-gloss gel medium. I then added Golden's light molding paste here and there and   stamped into it to create texture.

Once I add the gel medium I like to spritz it lightly with Platinum Pearl Color Mists to smooth it out and add a light opalescent sheen. Once that dried I white washed it with watered down gesso.

Next I added some color using a make up sponge and Dr Martin's  radiant concentrated colors.  Now I'm letting my muse ruminate some more so stay tuned...

What I'm working on now...

Here's my newest canvas I'm working on.  Now that I have the background papers and molding paste added I'm ruminating on what I want to do next, so stay tuned!

Here's my What I'm working on piece finally. I've finished and wrapped it and finally getting around to posting a picture!   I've been dealing with real life stuff so haven't been blogging. I created this mixed media piece for my grandson to be's room Below is the before picture and you can click HERE to view the rest of my process

What I'm working on...

Here's a new art piece I'm working on.  I started with a16x20 canvas, scrap paper and matte gel medium.  I've since added a layer of watered down gesso and glaze over it.  Below are a couple more photos as it's progressed.  I used my cell phone to take pix so they aren't the best I'll use my good camera when I finish.

Here it is after I've gessoed, 

glazed and sanded it some.

I've stamped layers of paint 

once I sanded it.

Welcome to the Peep Show!

Here's a close up of the peep hole (click to enlarge) I created using a piece of copper pipe fitted into a bottle cap.  I drilled holes around the copper pipe so that some light would show through so you would be able to see the picture inside a little better.  

*Some have asked what is inside the peep hole and I had thought maybe the enlarged picture would show but not well enough..it's a picture of a sun and flowers from a mini tarot deck card set.

What I'm working on...part 2

 

Previously I posted what I was working 
on (click HERE to view).  I thought I'd give 
you a little sneak peek before it's completely 
finished.  I used soft glossy gel medium to 
adhere the wallpaper to the box.  I 
normally don't like glossy but on 
this I felt it needed it.

What I'm working on...

This is what I'm working on currently.  I've started with a Crafty Chica shrine I picked up on sale about a year ago.  I've begun by spraying it with my Color Mists --they really take to natural wood nicely, like a stain almost, yet without the mess of a stain. 

I had some Anaglypta wallpaper that was in one of my erosion bundles , so I decided to give my box a embossed faux metal look. Again, I used my Color Mists to give the wallpaper an aged and patinaed look. View my process below:

	I first cut out the wallpaper ahead of time so I'd have a medallion and a tile shape.  Next I used the following Color Mists on them: Tiger's Eye Brown, Copper Kettle, Emerald Isle Green, Tungsten Carbide.  I dried them with the heat gun and then sprayed again until I achieved the look I liked.  Then I rubbed the raised areas over a brown Staz on stamp pad.  Next I added a brad to the center medallion.

What I'm working on...part 2

 

I had a chance to work a bit more on my canvas.  

After my previous post I lightly sanded the background

a bit wiped off the dust and then painted the road.

 

 Next I painted a white boarder around the canvas
using a white paint pen.

What I'm working on...

Here's what I'm working on.  I started with a 16x20 canvas 

and covered it with torn map pieces using Golden's
semi-gloss gel medium.

Next I white washed it with watered downed gesso.

Once dry I've started adding Golden's fluid and
transparent airbrush acrylics mixed with Golden's transparent glaze.
Now I'm stuck contemplating what I want to do next.
